Scholarship Information

There are two scholarship opportunities currently available.  One is an ARMA-Utah Salt Lake Chapter Membership and the other is an ARMA International Educational Foundation Graduate Scholarship.

Membership Scholarship

Overview

Each year the ARMA Utah-Salt Lake Chapter provides one or more annual ARMA International memberships, which includes an ARMA Utah-Salt Lake Chapter membership.

How it Works

The ARMA Utah-Salt Lake Membership Scholarship is intended to provide financial support to one or more individuals who desires a Professional ARMA Membership in order to participate in chapter activities or serve as a board or committee member.  The scholarship covers the cost, for one year, the ARMA International Membership fee and the ARMA Utah-Salt Lake Chapter Membership fee.

Receiving the Funds

Upon acceptance of this award, the Chapter President or Vice President will use the chapter’s credit card to pay for the online registration.

Eligibility

Applicant must be willing to attend monthly ARMA Chapter meetings and be willing to participate on a committee or in a board position.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the ARMA Utah-Salt Lake Membership Scholarship application form available in the link below.

Due Date

Applications must be signed by your work supervisor and must be received by April 30 each year.

Application Evaluation

Each application will be evaluated by the Chapter board, using the following criteria:

  • Applicant’s willingness to participate in local ARMA Chapter projects, chapter activities, board positions or committee positions
  • Ability for the applicant to pay (will their organization pay for their annual ARMA membership if not awarded the scholarship?)
  • Has the applicant received this award in the past?

Note:  The application includes a requirement for  an essay up to 750 word, written in English that discusses your current involvement in records and information management (RIM) activities, your goals and aspirations as a RIM professional and your plans or desires to serve on a committee or as a board member.
